Asset Forfeiture

Criminal asset forfeiture can occur after a conviction of an underlying criminal offense. Asset forfeiture can also be used instead of criminal prosecution, where the government seizes property. It can be money or tangible property, like land or real estate. These laws are meant to punish and deter criminal activity by taking away the property used in or acquired through illegal activities.

Asset forfeiture laws allow the government to keep the seized property, including things like cash, other material items, even vehicles or homes. They can legally destroy it, sell it, and keep the proceeds in a special fund.

If you had your property seized, Law Office of Ean Vizzi can help you. We will fight to get your property returned exhaustively.
